Futures mundane is an oxymoron, because the future is by nature nothing but mundane. Future is something calling for us to reimagine today’s world in a radical way. Mundane is about reminding us how all meaningful change is a journey, a systems transition, that transforms completely the way things are done today. And arriving in the future, it all feels mundane - like we should have been doing all a long.

  • Founder

    Anni is a strategic designer, public policy expert and community leader. Anni is currently exploring ways to combine futures, organisational transformation, policy and creative practice for sustainability transitions. Anni has 15 years of experience working in different government organisations in Finland and the UK. Most recently she was a design lead at the Strategy Department of City of Helsinki. She has studied international development at University of London and strategic design and sustainability transitions at Aalto University. Anni is the founder of Finnish government design community.

Our Services

  • We offer strategic advisory for managers and teams. This can include a series of meetings or workshops. We also engage in longer partnership projects.

  • We offer talks on various topics for your internal or external events. Invite us for a staff meeting, strategy day, conference or a retreat.

  • We run programmes for groups of organisational teams. Our programmes include workshop days, online community and materials and team specific coaching.

    Our current programme is for Finnish government organisations on journey management.

  • Our lab is a platform for experimentation, shared learning and communities. The lab offers free content and a subscription service. Our lab develops new recipes for change.
